Hard road traveled

on the way back from Jasper on corridor X heading to Fultondale I notice at exit 91 Brookside a coyote panting,  really, really close to the interstate just really still.

I went about my next task but called the alabama wildlife center and left a msg as it requested letting them know the  information.   After lunch I knew I was heading back to the Forestdale area and I bought water I stopped and  tried to push the water towards the coyote and it never ever moved except its head and eyes, which he/she kept upon me the entire time.

When I returned home at approx 5pm I called the Sheriffs department because I had not received a call back from the Wildlife Center and the animal is suffering.  I didn't know where to turn.

As of right now tears in my eyes I can even know if he/she is still suffering.

You know whats awful  I've seen the road kill on the side of the road but never, never an animal trying to live.
